James Watson has been awarded the 1962 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his contribution to the discovery of the molecular structure of nucleic acids and its significance for information transfer in living material.
Dr. Watson has come to Romania at the beginning of June 2016 to teach at the Transylvanian Experimental Neuroscience Summer School, organized by the Romanian Institute of Science and Technology. He also visited our institute and held at Babeș-Bolyai university a public lecture on the discovery of the double helix structure of the DNA.
